This page covers the website. Membership and borrowing are governed by the library rules, and those are the ones that count at the desk.

What the catalogue is, and is not
The catalogue is our own register, published as it stands. Books are being added a shelf at a time, so it is incomplete, and a title being listed as available is not a promise that it will still be on the shelf when you arrive. Nothing on this site reserves a book for you. Members can request a book from their own page, and the librarian confirms it; everyone else is welcome to ask us first.
Prices, opening hours, and membership limits are kept current here, but if this site and the librarian disagree, the librarian is right.
The writing on this site
The reading notes, the weekly picks, and the rest of the words here are Rommell R. David's work. Quote a line or two with a link back and we will be glad. Republishing whole posts, or feeding the archive into something that reprints it as its own, is not on. Ask us if you want to translate or reprint something properly, the answer is usually yes.
Book covers, titles, and quoted passages belong to their publishers and authors. They appear here to identify a book we hold and to say something about it. Tell us if you own one and would rather it were not shown, and it comes down.
Your side of it
Use the site as a reader would. Do not try to break into the parts that are locked, do not scrape it in a way that knocks it over, and do not pass around a member's private page link. If you are a member, the link to your page is yours to look after.
What we record about you
Very little, and none of it by name. The site counts page views with Google Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics, which the privacy page sets out in full, and the two cookies that involves are listed on the cookies page. If you are a member, what the register holds is on the privacy page too.
What we do not promise
This is a one-room library's website, kept by hand. It may be down, a page may be wrong, and a book may be mis-typed. We fix what we are told about, usually within the week. We cannot be responsible for what happens on the sites we link to.
Changes
These terms will change as the site grows. Anything that matters will be said out loud in the blog rather than quietly edited in.
